Personality Assessment Inventory
is a self-report inventory to assess the Psychopathology in daily life. Frank’s
PAI measures are valid to be interpreted. On the PAI,
Frank’s validity profile suggested that he attended to the item content and responded
in a candid and forthcoming manner. He
did not attempt to overly present himself in a negative or positive light. Given
frank’s scores on the validity scales, there are no problems with interpreting
the PAI profile. On the PAI clinical scales, John’s profile revealed
elevations above the clinical skyline that indicated the presence of clinical
psychopathology in the areas that are tapped by the individual clinical and sub
scales.
Frank’s profile suggests that
he tends to be Depressed he focuses on thoughts of worthlessness, hopelessness,
indecisiveness and sadness. His scores represent symptoms of Paranoid disorder
and more enduring characteristics of Paranoid personality. In his life he focuses
on suspiciousness and the tendency to monitor the environment for real or
imagined slights by others. Frank’s scores suggest the symptoms relevant to the
broad spectrum of Schizophrenic disorders. He focuses on the experiences of
unusual perceptions and sensations, magical thinking, and other unusual, delusional
beliefs, discomfort in social interactions and disorganization of thought
processes. He reported the attributes indicative of a Borderline level of
personality functioning, including unstable and fluctuating interpersonal
relations, impulsivity, uncontrolled anger., rapid mood changes, and poor
emotional control. Frank
reported history and phenomenology of Antisocial personality, lack of empathy,
instability, lack of empathy and a generally exploitative approach to
interpersonal relationships. He Showed problematic consequences of alcohol use
and features of alcohol dependence. He represented problematic consequences of
drug use and features of drug dependence. His scores on PAI suggest characteristics
and attitudes related to anger, assertiveness, hostility, and aggression. His
profile appears to explain the impact of recent Stress on major life areas. He also
reported lack of perceived social support, considering both the level and the
quality of available support.
